Laura Mabe

Hi, I’m Laura! Mommy to my beautiful daughter, supported wifey, Reiki Master, founder of The Jubilant Journal, and believer of miracles and the intangible!
So, what led me to be so passionate about journaling? Story time. I always knew I had a special connection to the spiritual world, but it wasn’t until I was in my 20’s when I really started to explore how deep and beautiful that relationship was. A fellow intuitive told me if I wanted to connect to my Spirit Guides all I had to do was ask, and that’s exactly what I did. One day, while driving alone, I said, “Spirit Guides, please make yourself known”. Suddenly my car felt as though it were packed with people, they were in the car, on the car, even hanging off the back! I was very overwhelmed. After a few days of being unsure what to do next, I picked up a pen and began to write.
Soon after, journaling became a very important tool in my life. Through writing, I learned to communicate with my Spirit Guides, manifest dreams into realities, release negative thought patterns that no longer serve me, and converse with the Universe.
Hands of Light
Fast forward into my 30’s, with years of writing and holistic practices behind me, I made the decision to explore energy healing through Reiki. During my first Reiki attunement I had a beautiful and extraordinary experience. I was guided into the core of Gaia, and beyond the bounds of the Universe. Through visualization, I was met with an ancient and wise tree in the middle of a breath-taking woodland. It’s difficult to describe, but when I discovered this tree, I felt like I was home. I allowed the tree to hold me tight as I wept in happiness (both in my visual journey and physical form). From there, I had a very powerful awakening that solidified my decision to embrace Reiki and offer it to others. Since then, energy healing, meditation, and mindful living, has become such a natural part of me.
The Jubilant Journal
After the first encounter with my Spirit Guides, I learned to embrace the line of communication using a freewriting technique. Freewriting, or intuitive writing as I refer to it, is an infinite practice that acts as a direct conduit, connecting me to the boundless wisdom of a higher source. I have since built on this technique, using it as a tool to transcend the limitations of the conscious mind and remain connected to the Universe.

Sam Zwicker
Reiki Master | Meditation Teacher
Sam is a Reiki Master and Meditation Teacher with a deep love for mindfulness, creativity, and connection. Journaling has been a part of her life since childhood—she still has most of her journals, each one a reflection of her journey through the years. Writing has always been her way of making sense of the world, and she also finds deep inspiration in poetry, both reading and creating it.
When she’s not guiding others on their healing journeys, Sam finds peace in nature—camping under the stars, walking along the beach at night, or simply soaking in the quiet solitude of the outdoors. Music is another source of inspiration, and her playlists are filled with the sounds of Bob Dylan, Garth Brooks, Angus & Julia Stone, and Zach Bryan. As a wife and mother, she embraces the balance between family life and personal growth, bringing warmth, wisdom, and a grounded presence to The Jubilant Journal.
Koreen Swanson
Virtual Assistant | Admin on the Side
Koreen is a Virtual Assistant with 20 years experience in the administrative field, a background in law and social services, and a passion for learning and growth. She has joined the team at The Jubilant Journal to keep us organized!
In 2021, she left the corporate world to pursue a slower lifestyle on the East Coast with her family, and start my administrative consulting business. First and foremost Koreen is a wife, mother and grandmother as her family is her number one priority. While her main focus is providing services to women service providers and holistic practitioners as a Virtual Assistant, she loves personal development, life long learning, and reading. Koreen is also a certified Reiki Practitioner, a Quantum Hypnosis Practitioner, a Life Coach and a writer, bringing these elements to the table when supporting her clients.
